1st draft music video feedback

The feedback was very positive, with many people quickly and easily understanding the narrative. Also people liked the colour change and the quad box editing technique. We asked for negatives and things to improve as this is a first draft and we want it to be as good as possible. Negatives were that some and shots were held for to long and from same angle and lighting didn't match the narrative as it was to bright and happy. Both these comments are very comments are very reasonable. We also got feedback from Jason who also liked the video a lot but pointed out a few key things to improve such as more effects to bring the hallucinations to life and more band shots from different angles and specific instruments.

The feedback comes from media students who are studying similar things to what we are so have good knowledge on what makes a good music video. Furthermore, they happen to be of a similar age to our target audience so their feedback was even more vital to appeal to the youth.

We considered the negative feedback and how we could implement changes and here are some that we made: We added more close ups of the band members and the instruments. We also included more effects to really sell that he is in his own world and hallucinating to bring the narrative to life. Both these were comments we received from feedback of our first draft and we feel that they both made our video better by listening and implementing those comments.

The feedback received from our final was extremely useful as it allowed us to gather how clear our narrative is to people but also that the ideas from it that they liked. We take on board all positive and negative feedback and transfer it into our video to enable we sell our star image to our intended target audience being the disengaged youth of society. A lot of positive feedback was good to hear as it shows that hard work pays off!
