Initial Lighting Idea: Initially all the asylum scenes were going to have the same lighting scheme which was going to be a bright ice white to make it look strictly like a mental institution.
New Lighting Idea: We decided to develop the initial idea by adding the use of colour filters. The core of the asylum scenes will still be the bright ice white room, however in order to express the simple and uneventful life of a patient in an asylum we decided to add colour filters. We will put each filter over a light for different scenes to express the same thing every day for patients in institutions. The colours will emphasise the boredom and simplicity of asylum life which will help the audience to create a better connection to the patient.
